Ken Scott is a photographer, adventurer, speaker and coach from West Sussex, England.

Ken is still best known for his mountain landscape and light photography, which covers more than forty years of walking and climbing in Britain and overseas. Recent mountain adventures include a crossing of the Pyrenees High Route (HRP)in 2011 and a solo round of the British Coast in 2017.

Whilst his photographic soul still resides in the mountains, he has in recent times transformed his work into a daily flow of fleeting moments and deeper insights, from journaling to intimate nature and abstract art. This is an everyday practice – “Project Infinity” – that began in 2008 and will pass 5000 consecutive days in 2021. There are pictures in everything

This wealth of experience with responsive photography, coupled with Ken’s academic background in psychology, informs his popular workshop programme called “The Joy of Seeing” which explores Mindfulness and its role in expanding our seeing and our photographic repertoire.

Ken also delivers professional photographic presentations and expedition lectures to camera clubs an to organisations of all kinds nationally throughout the UK.  He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, a respected judge and appraiser on the camera club circuit, influential in the training of the judges and the development of judging practice.  Touching the Light has been Ken’s photographic brand since 1998 and the site showcases not only Ken’s photographic work but also is a platform for the philosophy and psychology of photography and for consideration of mindfulness in photography.
